KS3 Art Spotlight! Year 8 – 3D Bugs Project Our Year 8 students have completed their incredible 3D bug sculptures! Using recycled materials, wire, and string, they've shown fantastic creativity and craftsmanship. Each detailed sculpture showcases thoughtful construction and imaginative design. Amazing work, Year 8! Year 9 – Microbe-Inspired 3D Forms Year 9 have also finished their stunning 3D work inspired by microbes. They explored a wide range of construction techniques and experimented with different materials to bring these microscopic wonders to life in sculptural form. Brilliant effort and creativity from everyone involved! Art in Action Across Upper Key Stage 2! Earlier this month, our bidding Year 5 and Year 6 artists have been developing their skills... Year 5 have been diving deep into colour theory. From experimenting with colour mixing to practising careful control of their paintbrushes, they've been building the foundations for confident, expressive painting. The creativity in the classroom has been incredible! Year 6 have begun their new topic, Portraiture, by completing detailed observational sketches. They've shown real focus and skill, carefully studying faces, proportions, and shading techniques to bring their drawings to life.
