Celebrating Young Talent: Anya Wins at the Northern Writers' Awards 2026! Congratulations to Anya, year 10 pupil at Great Park Academy who was the WINNER of the Young Writers' Award at the Northern Writers' Awards 2026! This is a fantastic achievement and we are so proud of Anya for sharing her writing with the world. Judges remarked that Anya's short story is 'exquisitely written and meticulously constructed' - incredible feedback for an outstanding young writer. Well done, Anya! Further congratulations to Tamyra, a year 10 pupil whose poetry was also shortlisted for a prize. Our Year 5 pupils recently took part in a dedicated Poetry Super Learning Day, where they explored language, performance, and creativity through a variety of engaging activities. Year 10 mock exams start on Monday, 15th June and run until 25th June. We're really proud of how hard students have been working – this is a great opportunity to build confidence and show what they can do. Ford Castle Residential Update Another fantastic day for our Great Park Academy students at Ford Castle! With plenty of blue skies overhead, students have been making the most of every opportunity to build their teamwork skills and try something new.
