Art in Action Across Upper Key Stage 2! Earlier this month, our bidding Year 5 and Year 6 artists have been developing their skills... Year 5 have been diving deep into colour theory. From experimenting with colour mixing to practising careful control of their paintbrushes, they've been building the foundations for confident, expressive painting. The creativity in the classroom has been incredible! Year 6 have begun their new topic, Portraiture, by completing detailed observational sketches. They've shown real focus and skill, carefully studying faces, proportions, and shading techniques to bring their drawings to life. Year 5 enjoy an exciting punctuation afternoon! On Monday, our Year 5 pupils joined a live stream of 'The Punctuation Show' with Barrie McDermid! They explored colons, commas, and lots of other punctuation through fun quizzes, catchy songs, and energetic actions. We're so impressed with the incredible work from Helen T in Year 10 this week! She's created this fantastic frog inspired by the style of artist Allison Kunath, and it looks amazing. Helen has beautifully captured Kunath's signature use of layered colour and geometric line detailing, bringing real vibrancy and character to her piece.
