    We support and make provision for students with cognition and learning conditions such as dyslexia, dyscalculia, and moderate learning difficulties.

    Types of support and provision available:

    • Quality first teaching strategies to promote and develop literacy and numeracy.
    • We offer Fresh Start Reading intervention to pupils in need of support with fluency or decoding
    • Small group and 1-1 maths interventions.
    • We use ICT to reduce barriers to learning wherever possible.
    • We assess students regularly and report the results of assessments and progress made to parents and staff
    • We assess pupils and provide access arrangements for external examinations / controlled assessments in GCSEs and KS2 SATS.
    • Small group spelling interventions
    • We offer targeted in-class provision to support access to the curriculum.
    • We offer after-school and lunchtime homework support and catch-up.
    • We work closely with external agencies ( SEN ASAP, Educational Psychology, SENDOS) to ensure any barriers to success are fully identified and responded to.
