This term Year 5 have been studying the Roman Empire as part of the History curriculum. We visited Segedunum to find out what life would have been like for a Roman Soldier stationed at the fort 2000 years ago. We explored the ruins at the site, completed our soldier training, and viewed the many artefacts in the gallery. Pupils also had the opportunity to climb the stairs to the top of the viewing tower and take in the views of the River Tyne!
