Dear Parents and Carers,
I am delighted to announce that I will be taking on the role of Principal at our wonderful school, Great Park Academy, from 15th April 2024. Our current Principal, Denise Waugh, has been promoted and joins our Trust’s executive team as Executive Director of Teaching & Learning and Communications, and I wish her the very best of luck in her new role.
As Principal, I bring a wealth of experience obtained here at Great Park Academy as Assistant Principal; as Leader of Teaching and Learning for Key Stage 3 at Gosforth Junior High and in a variety of roles within the secondary education sector in Merseyside and North Tyneside. Having worked at Great Park Academy from the day the school opened, and having been involved in its planning stage, I'm proud to say that I have been instrumental in establishing the school's culture and ethos, something which I intend to develop and embed.
