Senior Learning and Pastoral Supervisor

Salary N6 (£22,479 - £24,797 actual gross salary)
Come to work at Great Park Academy, a new school that opened in September 2021 as part of The Gosforth Group. The Gosforth Group is a thriving multi-academy trust currently consisting of four schools (Gosforth Academy, Gosforth Junior High Academy, North Gosforth Academy, Callerton Academy and Jesmond Park Academy).
We are seeking a Senior Learning and Pastoral Supervisor to be a founding member of the pastoral support staff team at Great Park Academy. You will be a creative, ‘hands on’ colleague and the main contact for pastoral support to students in the Academy. This includes implementing work programmes, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities in line with the academy’s policies and procedures. You will have experience of working with young people and ideally have experience of working within a school.
You will support the pastoral system in the academy as well as working as part of the general cover team where you will be required to supervise classes during the absence of the class teacher and will be expected to work with and supervise small groups of students under the guidance of senior staff.
You will be required to take a lead role including managing the internal exclusion/isolation room, monitoring attendance and general support of pastoral systems.
You will take a lead on the recording of behaviour data and make a significant contribution the schools rewards systems.
